The WIDA Access test is an English Language Assessment that is an annual state of Michigan testing requirement for designated EL students during February or March.
For this assessment students complete 4 domains Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing.
The test is taken on computer and administered by GLLA proctors at a testing location near your location.
The test is NOT timed, but an average time to complete this diagnostic is 120 - 150 minutes.
WIDA scores are available in July.

Answer: Yes, if a student scores 4.8 or more OVERALL on the WIDA Access test then the student enters an "EL Monitoring" phase for the following school year.

The WIDA Screener test is a diagnostic test given to potential EL students, students new in our district, and students new in the state of Michigan
per stated Michigan Department of Education regulations.
For this assessment students complete 4 domains Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing.
The test is taken at a testing site on a laptop provided by the testing proctor/teacher.
The test is NOT timed, but an average time to complete this diagnostic is 90 minutes.
